The Yankees have reportedly agreed to terms with a free agent shortstop.

No, not that one.

According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, the Yankees are set to sign five-time All-Star Troy Tulowitzki. The move, however, does not take them out of the running for prized free agent Manny Machado, Passan added.

The deal, which will pay Tulowitzki the league minimum, is pending a physical. The Toronto Blue Jays, who released the 34-year-old infielder last month with two years left on his contract, will pay the rest of his $20 million salary this season.

Tulowitzki is expected to play shortstop while Didi Gregorius recovers from Tommy John surgery, although that plan could change if the Yankees are able to sign Machado. Gregorius is out until at least June.

Tulowitzki has not played since July 2017 due to an array of injuries -- bone spurs in both heels, a pulled hamstring and a sprained ankle.

In 66 games with the Blue Jays in 2017, Tulowitzki batted .249 with seven home runs and 26 RBIs. For his career, he is a .290 hitter with 224 homers and 779 RBIs. His breakout season came in 2007, when he helped the Colorado Rockies reach their only World Series.
