Joe who?

That was largely the reaction on Twitter immediately after news broke Tuesday that the Giants are reportedly hiring Joe Judge as their head coach

Ummm...did the Giants think they were hiring this guy because that would've actually made more sense. pic.twitter.com/B8tkk5zDwv

I'm shocked at how much footage ESPN has of Joe Judge in the sidelines

Other than that, the move was greeted with confusion and questions about the former Patriots special teams coordinator/wide receivers coach's credentials.

Joe Judge? Really? The rest of the NFC East is probably jumping for joy right now. #NYGiants

When the @Giants hire Joe Judge to be HC and want to interview Jason Garrett as OC. pic.twitter.com/XgQ9FC3M9M

I'm not sure what it says that the only competition for the Giants' new coach was Mississippi State, but I feel like that's bad

Joe Judge was the Patriots receivers coach this year. You know, the receivers that were missing in action the entire second half of the season and in last week's playoff game. Reports are he is being hired to coach the #Giants. Weirdest move of the offseason.

But some Giants fans are optimistic about the hire.

The more I look into Joe Judge the more potential I see in him. Hope it works out

Honestly,HC: Joe JudgeOC: Jason GarretI like this. Get us a good DC and we be the biggest surprise in the East next season.

Time will tell us all who Joe Judge is. He's been apart of winning cultures, so let's use that as optimism and let's stay patient here Giants fans. There was a time in 2004 where the fans didn't like a certain hire.....worked out pretty well I'd say
