Looks like we’re going to have a five-game Subway Series this weekend.

While MLB has yet to officially announce game times, they have announced that two of the three Subway Series games postponed by the Mets’ COVID-19 outbreak will be made up this weekend, as the Mets and Yankees will play doubleheaders on Friday and Sunday around a single game on Saturday.

The games will be played in the Bronx, with the Mets acting as the “home” team for one game in each doubleheader. All five games will be broadcast on WFAN and WCBS 880 as usual.

The third postponed game will be set to be made up on Thursday, Sept. 3, a mutual off-day for the teams as of now, and be played at Citi Field.

The scheduled Queens half of the 2020 Subway Series was set to be played last weekend, but was postponed last Friday after two members of the Mets’ traveling party in Miami tested positive for COVID-19. The Mets’ game last Thursday against the Marlins was also postponed after the news broke.

The Mets have, however, been cleared to resume play by MLB, and will play a doubleheader against the Marlins on Tuesday to make up that game. The Mets were scheduled to host the Marlins for three games Tuesday-Thursday, so Miami will simply be the home game for one of Tuesday’s games before playing that series as scheduled.
