It won't exactly have the magnitude of Babe Ruth switching teams, but the Yankees and Red Sox will make another trade Thursday by swapping radio announcers for an inning.

During the fourth inning of Thursday's game between the rivals at Yankee Stadium, longtime Red Sox announcer Joe Castiglione will join Suzyn Waldman in the WFAN booth, while Yankees play-by-play icon John Sterling will join Tim Neverett on WEEI's broadcast in Boston. It's being called the "Rivalry in the Booth."

The switch had originally been scheduled for Tuesday, but was rescheduled after that game's start time was pushed back from 1:05 p.m. to 7:05 p.m. due to rain.

It'll be interesting to hear whether Sterling might produce one of his famous home run calls if a Red Sox player homers during the fourth inning.

The Bronx Bombers and Red Sox begin a three-game series Tuesday. Boston has an 11 1/2-game lead over the Yankees for first place in the American League East. The Yanks, however, have a 1 1/2-game advantage over the Oakland A's for the top wild-card spot.

Thursday's game begins at 7:05 p.m. The pregame show can be heard at WFAN starting at 6:25 p.m.
