NEW YORK (WFAN) -- The Yankees added some veteran depth Friday, signing first baseman/outfielder Adam Lind to a minor league contract.
While the Yanks already have a glut of outfielders, including Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Brett Gardner, Aaron Hicks and Jacoby Ellsbury, they have depth concerns at first base behind Greg Bird, who missed all of the 2016 season and the better part of four months last season with injuries.

A longtime Toronto Blue Jay, Lind, 34, has bounced around the big leagues in recent years. With the Washington National last season, he batted .303 with 14 homers and 59 RBIs in 116 games.
In his 12-year career, which also has included one season each with the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners, Lind has hit .272 with 200 homers and 723 RBIs. His best season came in 2009 in Toronto, when he batted .305 with 35 home runs and 114 RBIs.
