One town, two teams, three voices that boom over the radio airwaves on any given night during the summer.
Sounds like a great movie tagline, but it's real, and it was spectacular.
WFAN Yankees analyst Suzyn Waldman and WCBS Mets play-by-play man Howie Rose hosted a show together during the FAN's special slate of holiday weekend anniversary programming, and they were joined by none other than the voice of the New York Yankees, Mr. John Sterling, who also happened to be celebrating his 82nd birthday on July 4.
In addition to Sterling, Suzyn and Howie were also joined by WFAN alum and current SNY Mets play-by-play man Gary Cohen, bringing in some more New York flavor from the east side of the East River as well as memories of his time at the country's first all-sports radio station.
That would be one fantastic roundtable, but alas, it was two separate segments, so you got double the listening goodness! Check out Suzyn & Howie's segments with Sterling and Cohen below, and check out more on-demand audio from WFAN's special holiday weekend slate!
