Mets' Marcus Stroman on NASCAR's Kyle Larson: 'I'll Fight This Man in a UFC Event'

Marcus Stroman has always been known for his passion and his ability to speak his mind and express himself. He's often seen sharing his story and opinions through one of his dozens of tattoos, his inspirational merchandise company "Height Doesn't Measure Heart," or through social media.

Thus, it should come as no surprise that Stroman had something to say about the racial slur used by NASCAR's Kyle Larson that has caused a huge wave of backlash against the professional racer. One of the largest punishments he faces is that he will be suspended indefinitely without pay by NASCAR, and Stroman had something to say upon hearing this news.

He should never be allowed to race again in @NASCAR. Said that derogatory word so nonchalantly. Your apology doesn't matter. Post-career...I'll fight this man in a @ufc event for charity. He needs his ass beat. Would love to hear him say that word in the octagon! https://t.co/lZ4Hg1fxsw

The "indefinite" aspect of his suspension means that there could never be a return date for reinstatement into NASCAR, and Stroman certainly wants to see that come to fruition.

Larson has already been dropped by sponsors and fired by his racing company, among additional fallout from his atrocious slip-up. Larson did issue an apology via social media, but Stroman and many others aren't willing to let that excuse him for his actions.

Stroman has been active in the news cycle in another way amid this sports hiatus. His aforementioned company "Height Doesn't Measure Heart" is donating half of its proceeds to food banks in order to feed families in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition, the HDHM website features a blog for #MotivationMonday where stories of heroic figures in the New York area are shared. Most recently, West Islip nurse Katie Daza was featured as a part of the campaign.
