NEW YORK (WFAN) - It may not be Bryce Harper or Manny Machado, but the Yankees appear to be a favorite to land one of the top bullpen arms still available on the free agent market.
The Yankees, along with the Phillies, are among the lead teams in pursuit of left-handed reliever Zach Britton, according to WFAN's Jon Heyman.
New York acquired Britton prior to the trade deadline this past season, giving Baltimore three minor league pitchers in exchange for a few months of service from the soon-to-be 31-year-old pitcher.
