Five-time Pro Bowl center Ryan Kalil is coming out of retirement to join the New York Jets.
The Jets announced on Thursday that the team has reached a deal with Kalil, 34, who must first pass a physical in order to officially join the team. Kalil, a 2007 second round draft pick, spent his entire career with the Carolina Panthers before initially announcing his retirement in December.
Kalil's deal is for one year and worth $8.4 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Kalil took to his social media to announce his return. First, with a GIF from the 2013 film, 'The Wolf of Wall Street." He then posts a clip of Billy Crystal, who dons a New York Yankees cap, to essentially confirm the signing.
