An entertaining goose chase in Detroit turned scary Wednesday night when the bird being pursued by the Comerica Park grounds crew crashed into a scoreboard.
The incident with the Canada Goose happened as a rain delay between the Angels and Tigers was ending. After toying with the crew a bit, the bird began to fly up out of the stadium before striking the video scoreboard and plummeting into the stands below as feathers flew wildly.
A woman showed up to care for the goose, and the stadium's Jumbotron later posted an announcement that read, "THE GOOSE IS HEALTHY and has been released."
