The Yankees have agreed to a deal with relief pitcher Adam Ottavino, according to WFAN baseball insider Jon Heyman.

The deal is for three years and $27 million.

Ottavino was 6-4 with a 2.43 ERA and 0.991 WHIP in 77 2/3 innings last season with the Colorado Rockies.

The 33-year-old New York native has a career 3.68 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in eight seasons in the majors.

Ottavino made headlines in December when he told MLB.com's "Statcast Podcast" that Babe Ruth would struggle in the modern game.

"I had an argument with a coach in Triple-A about Babe Ruth's effectiveness in today's game," Ottavino said. "I said, 'Babe Ruth, with that swing, swinging the bat, I got him hitting .140 with eight homers.'"

He would go on to say that he would strike Ruth out "every time."

Ottavino will join Aroldis Chapman, Dellin Betances, Zach Britton and Chad Green to form possibly the most talented bullpen in the league.
