The one-year deal is worth $7.5 million, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
In addition to the $7.5 million 2019 salary, Gardner will also receive $2 million from the buyout on his old contract.
The 35-year-old appeared in 140 games for the Yankees this past season, hitting .236 with 12 home runs and 45 RBI.
2019 will be the Gardner's 12th season with the team.
