The Yankees are interested in getting some starting pitching help this offseason. They may be able to fill that void with a potential ace.

According to WFAN baseball insider Jon Heyman, the Yankees have trade interest in starting pitchers Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco, and James Paxton. Heyman says the Yankees are meeting with the Indians Tuesday at the GM meetings.

While the Yankees would likely only get one of those three pitchers, they are looking for more than one.

"I'm interested in adding more than one pitcher," GM Brian Cashman said Monday. "I think I need to add multiples. If I can do so, we'll see. ... I'm not going to say who and when but we will make sure we check every box in terms of what's available and the cost associated with what's available in both marketplaces, free agency and trades."

The Indians are reportedly looking to shed payroll and the Mariners are reportedly considering tearing things down completely, which means the Yankees have a legitimate chance to get one of those three pitchers, and maybe two if they are lucky.

Kluber, 32, is under contract through the 2021 season at a total cost of $46.5 million. Kluber had a 2.89 ERA with 222 strikeouts in 215 innings this past season.

Carrasco, 31, is under contract through the 2020 season at a total cost of $19.25 million. He had a 3.38 ERA with 231 strikeouts in 191 innings this past season.

Paxton, 30, is arbitration-eligible in 2019 and 2020 after making $4.9 million this past season. He had a 3.76 ERA with 208 strikeouts in 160 1/3 innings this past season.
