Manny Machado didn't exactly impress many front offices this October with some of his antics. As he now enters free agency, he will wait for a team to give him the huge contract he wants. One of those teams is expected to be the Yankees...but not so fast.
According to SNY's Andy Martino, Yankees baseball operations and scouting departments were not impressed by Machado's postseason antics, and are now 'lukewarm' on pursuing the shortstop in free agency.
Machado showed this October that he wasn't a huge fan of running out ground balls, and that he plays dirty. These were two things that most people already knew, but were brought into the limelight on the national stage.
It's safe to say the Yankees may be in on signing Machado, but they may see how the market plays out before rushing to sign the shortstop that was once so highly regarded.
Martino also reported that Bryce Harper will not be a part of the Yankees offseason plans.
