Is Al Dukes ready for a career change, perhaps as the cleanup crew for a prop comic?
During Wednesday's Boomer & Gio Show, the gang was discussing how hard life must be for "small-time" entertainers like a guy named "Jester Jim" Gio met at a Santa breakfast – specifically, how they have to be a one-man band for everything, including their own set-up – and that led to, well, some inside info on Al's rides home to Jersey after some less-than-optimal shows.
"Somebody like Carrot Top, who is huge now, he definitely has someone who collects all his props so he doesn't have to," Al said.
"Yeah, if you make it that big and you have someone to clean up all your gadgets, that's nice," Gio said, "but there's something sad about that juggling jester. He gets back in his car to go to the next gig, and he gets on the phone and complains; 'I don't know how much longer I can do this, I think I'm gonna call that guy back from the insurance agency, I think I'm ready to take the leap.'"
"Sounds like Al on some of those rides home!" Jerry laughed. "Gio was flat, Boomer and his politics, Jerry sucks, Eddie was bothering me…I just can't do this anymore."
Life is hard as the producer for the No. 1 morning show in the market. Maybe why it's Al's Boring Tweets and Al's Boring Pics instead of Al's Exciting Content on social media?
