Jamal Adams Not Buying 'Bullsh-t' Apologies From Brees, Fromm

Jets All-Pro safety Jamal Adams isn't convinced by the contrition of two NFL quarterbacks who have apologized for bigoted or racist remarks.

Saints superstar Drew Brees and Bills rookie QB Jake Fromm both issued apologies this week.

Adams was apparently unmoved by their professed remorse.

"You and Drew aren't really sorry," Adams tweeted in response to a headline about Fromm. "Save the bullshit ass apologies. The truth just came out, and you two aren't the only ones!"

Brees backpedaled -- twice -- after saying he would "never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag," comments which earned him swift backlash from fellow NFL players.

Meanwhile, Fromm, a former Georgia quarterback taken in the fifth-round pick in April's draft, offered a mea culpa for a 2019 text exchange about guns, in which he said silencers should be "very expensive so only elite white people can get them."

Fromm apologized, saying "there's no excuse for that word choice and sentiment."

Adams has been active weighing in on the fallout of the George Floyd case, which has roiled the NFL along with the rest of the US.

The three-year pro posted a statement earlier this week, saying "This isn't just a political issue. It's about the morality of our nation. We all have a party to play!"
