The New Jersey Devils picked up points in three of their four games this past week but only managed one win as their overtime struggles continued.
New Jersey lost its third straight game and fell to 0-4 in overtime this season with a 4-3 loss to Florida on Monday night.
Mike Hoffman, who hit the post with a shot at 1:03 of overtime, scored at 1:28 to give the Panthers the victory.

It was the eighth time in club history the Devils lost an overtime game to Florida. The others were:

New Jersey has now lost each of its last five games decided in overtime dating back to last season. The only longer streak of consecutive overtime losses by the Devils came in 2014-15 when they lost each of their last six OT games.
On Sunday night in Tampa, the Devils lost the first of their back-to-back games in Florida, 5-2 to the Lightning.
Including last season's Eastern Conference quarterfinals playoff series, New Jersey has now lost 11 of its last 13 road games against Tampa Bay.
The Devils, who will not face the Lightning on the road again in 2018-19, have not won more than once in Tampa during the same season since 2011-12.
Brayden Point, who had a goal and five assists for the Lightning against the Devils on Oct. 30, had two goals and an assist in the game Sunday night.
Point's eight total points versus the Devils are already the most by any Lightning player in a single season with one more matchup remaining between the two clubs next Monday night at the Prudential Center:

On Saturday in Newark, the Devils' record in overtime games this season dropped to 0-3 with a 4-3 loss to the Islanders.
Marcus Johansson tied the game for New Jersey, batting his own rebound with 11 seconds left in regulation and an extra attacker on the ice.

On Wednesday night at the Prudential Center, the Devils beat the Canadiens, 5-2.
Pavel Zacha had his second career two-goal game, giving him four since being recalled from AHL Binghamton.
Zacha's first two-goal performance came against the Maple Leafs in a 6-3 Devils win on Oct. 11, 2017.
According to NHL public relations, Kyle Palmieri, who scored the first goal of the game for New Jersey, became the eighth different player in franchise history to record 12 or more goals in the first 20 games of a season. Here are the others who have done so:
