Bill Simmons joined Mike's On Friday to talk all things NBA, but not before a little Yankees-Red Sox rivalry ribbing to start.
"First of all, the Yankees lead the league in cheap home runs," Simmons said.
"But you got 'em back last night (Thursday) with that bomb, I'll tell you that right now," Francesa quipped.
One thing they could agree on was LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers' dominance over the Toronto Raptors, as Simmons called it "such an embarrassing sweep."
They were also in agreement that the Celtics-Cavaliers series, which begins Sunday, will be a "classic," as Francesa stated. And urged to make a prediction with his head and not his heart, Simmons claimed, "If my life depended on it, I would say Cavs in seven."
As far as the Golden State Warriors-Houston Rockets series, Simmons is confident that the Warriors will win, but said that the Rockets are a dangerous team to bet against.
Parting comments on LeBron's future, Simmons said, "I think if he makes the Finals, I think he stays."
