On Tuesday, Moose and Maggie's Mystery Guest presented by Jersey Mike's brought a little UTEP Two-Step to the 1 p.m. hour on WFAN.
Moose and Maggie only needed to ask the guest if he was an athlete, what sport he played, and what teams he played for before Marc Malusis was able to identify…
Tim Hardaway!
Yes, it was five-time All-Star Hardaway who joined Moose and Maggie to kick off their final hour, albeit without any video of his signature move to the hoop named above, but he waxed poetic about how Donald Pittman and Pat Riley were influential in his life while they coached him during his stint in the NBA and promoted The 5 Tournament, coming to pay-per-view later this month.
Hardaway also discussed his days playing for Don Nelson as part of Run-TMC in Golden State – and Nelson's current proclivities during his retirement – as well as his thoughts on what the NBA might look like upon this season's resumption and how his son is handling the shutdown.
"I think the NBA came up with something brilliant," Hardaway said, "and if you do this the right way and are 100 percent safe about it, where everybody understands that if you come down with the virus you can't play, I think it will be successful."
