There was only one betting story that the majority of football fans will remember following Week 14, and for good reason. We saw one of the all-time bad beats in not only the NFL but any sport that had a major impact on a number of sports books.
But we shouldn't let this overshadow the betting stories that the below six bettors will forever remember from this eventful week of football action. In fact, one of the below parlays was actually a result of the high-scoring Ravens-Browns contest, proving that it didn't empty everyone's wallets.

New Jersey bettor breaks out crystal ball for Bears-Texans | +78298

For a game that the Chicago Bears won so handily, surprisingly defeating the Houston Texans 36-7, one bettor ended up getting juuuuust the right amount of offense from Houston that he/she needed. Deshaun Watson couldn't do too well through the air, but he needed to have some success on the ground. And alternatively, Duke Johnson Jr. needed to be contained in the rushing game but successful in the air. And, most importantly, David Montgomery needed to open the floodgates for the Bears.
And it all went right, as $15 turned into five figures like that.
Chase Young's dominant day plays key role in 12-team ML parlay | +78170

Just as the New York Giants were picking up some steam at the head of the NFC East, they dropped an ugly loss against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14. But the rest of the division came to play, as one bettor needed to be the case. Andy Dalton enjoyed a revenge game against the Bengals. Jalen Hurts stunned the Saints in his first career start. And Chase Young stole the show with an otherworldly performance in an upset of the 49ers.
And thanks to those four games, one bettor had a successful day, though he/she still needed, oh, eight other games to get his/her way.
Alshon Jeffery's first TD of season makes bettor some cash | +5600

Alshon Jeffery hadn't seen the field for most of the 2020 NFL season, and when he had, he hadn't been particularly effective in Carson Wentz's lackluster offense. But the Jalen Hurts era fired on all cylinders against New Orleans in Week 14, and the veteran wideout was the recipient of his first and only touchdown of the day.
And somehow, a bettor knew it was coming.
Oh, and never mind the nine-team parlay on the side at infused this bettor's account with an extra $4.4K for an amazing day on the books.
Gabriel Davis TD is clutch for Bills and sports bettor | +21979

The Bills, looking to put the Steelers in the rear-view mirror in a 16-7 football game, followed up their eight-play, 68-yard drive to open the second half with an even quicker four-play, 57-yard drive only a couple of minutes later. The Bills went up two touchdowns and two conversions, and Gabriel Davis was the responsible party on the receiving end.
This checked off the unlikeliest box in a seven-leg same-game parlay that foresaw the offensive struggles on both sides of the ball, where both quarterbacks finished well under their prop totals for passing yards and the rest of the pieces fell into place.
Ravens-Browns safety actually DOESN'T spoil a nice parlay | +22602

Luckily, safeties are only worth two points, or this parlay would be just another bet slip that was derailed by the last-second miracle attempt by the Browns to beat the Ravens.
Jackson and Dobbins, as seems to be a regularity going forward, both were extremely effective on the ground, and the game-winning touchdown to Marquise Brown saved him from what was otherwise a dismal day for the speedy wide receiver, as well as this bettor's same-game parlay.
Why not? | -100000

Hey, wait, I want to get in on the Andy Dalton revenge game fun, too!
Worth it? I'm not so sure. I definitely don't have $16,000 laying around that I can casually deposit into my account to make a meaningless bet. But hey... $16 bucks ain't nothing!
