The Pulse of the People Award Committee announced Thursday afternoon that Gregg Giannotti has been eliminated from contention, leaving two finalists for the 2021 Award: Jerry Recco and Evan Roberts.

The reason given for Gio's elimination in the announcement Tweet? He's too bougie.

Gio's ouster leaves Jerry Recco, who saved a life in the newsroom earlier this year but is controversially still in the running after Warm-Up Show partner Al Dukes was eliminated last week without him, versus Evan Roberts, who cuts his own grass and buys the crew delicious lunches despite being part of the No. 1 afternoon drive show in New York City.

When asked for comment, as he has worked with both finalists, Craig Carton declined, as he was hurriedly headed over to get some soup from Hale & Hearty on a soon-to-be rainy day.

Who will be the Pulse of the People Award Winner for 2021? We'll find out whenever the committee decides to name the winner.
