2022 NFL Draft order: Jets, Giants officially have pair of Top 10 picks

The Jets and Giants still have four picks in the Top 10 of the 2022 NFL Draft, just not as clustered as they were a few weeks back: Gang Green will pick fourth and tenth, while Big Blue will select fifth and seventh.

Thanks to both teams losing on Sunday, the Jets and Giants both finished 4-13, and will have their own picks fall fourth and fifth, respectively. The two teams tied with Houston at 4-13, but Houston will pick third, Gang Green fourth, and Big Blue fifth behind Jacksonville and Detroit based on reverse strength of schedule tiebreaker (teams draft higher based one easier schedule).

As for the picks the Giants get from the Bears and the Jets get from the Seahawks? Big Blue's second pick is No. 7, as Chicago finished 6-11, one game behind 5-12 Carolina (who will pick sixth). The Seahawks' win over Arizona, however, finished their season at 7-10, and as they had the third-hardest schedule of the four teams with that record, their draft slot will be No. 10.

Atlanta (eighth), Denver (ninth), and Washington (eleventh) were the other four 7-10 teams, while Minnesota, Cleveland, and Baltimore round out the Top 14 as the 8-9 teams.

The first 18 draft slots won't be official until after Sunday night's Chargers-Raiders game. The 9-7-1 Steelers can only pick 18th if they do not make the playoffs (which can only happen if the Chargers and Raiders tie), but the loser of the regular-season finale would be in a 9-8 mix with New Orleans and two picks for Philly via Indianapolis and Miami.
