Jerry Recco didn't want to make Gio's TUSHY reads the Moment of the Day because that could be the moment of EVERY DAY, but say "Collingsworth" instead of Collinsworth one time, and, well, you're the tushy of the MOTD joke.
"You know what amazes me? The fact that so many people don't know the names of the players on their teams," Boomer said.
"That's why I get nuts when people say Sam Dar-no or Pat Shoe-mer," Gio added, which sparked the discussion of Jerry's error…and led to audio GOAT Eddie Scozzare dropping in with some Schmooze stumbles you often hear on the program.
And then, of course, poor JJ.
"I was listening to the FAN over the weekend and listening to JJ, he was screaming about something and I couldn't understand a word he said," Boomer noted.
"Yeah, you need a Google translator for Jastremski these days," Gio laughed.
