Is a root canal ever really an emergency?
Apparently it was for Domingo German, who was scratched from his start Wednesday night in Seattle after an early-morning root canal…and then came on to pitch three innings in the Yankees' 5-4 win.
Boomer & Gio tried to get to the bottom of it all, and thankfully, a dentist named Dave called in to settle their argument – WHAT.
"It's an emergency; if it's debilitating, and has a chance for severe infection, the risk of life, as small as it may be, overrides playing," Dave said. "Once it was determined he was comfortable, he went back into the game, but to argue that it wasn't severe was a little salacious."
After dropping that SAT word, Dave also dropped "cavernus sinus thrombosis," which led to Boomer coming up with a new disease with a similar name that may or may not happen a different cavity, and then the Supreme Court got involved...
