Boomer & Gio Poll: Should Gregg Giannotti Join Cameo?

You never know where a discussion will go when listening to the Boomer & Gio Show, and the end of Tuesday’s 8:00 a.m. hour was no exception.

It all started when Jerry, who has an Instagram account but rarely uses it, and Gio, who is an Instagram legend (@GioWFAN), started discussing Instagram’s new Reelz feature, their answer to TikTok – and Gio mentioned how it’s essentially all sexually-charged content.

And from there they went down the rabbit hole of social media, including Plaxico Burress’ announcement of an OnlyFans page that led to a discussion of the Bella Thorne controversy, and all the way to a topic that the crew has revisited many times: whether Boomer & Gio would be good candidates to join sites like Cameo or OnlyFans.

“I told Boomer that with his Twitter following, and based on the way (OnlyFans does) their conversions, he could’ve made $150,000 a month,” Jerry said. “Given their stats and paying $14 a month or so, he could, but then Boomer would have to be in boxers.”

“I don’t think so,” Gio shot back. “I think he could do it just taking people’s requests, he doesn’t have to be half-naked in a pool being sexy Boomer. But what’s this gonna be like 15 years from now?”

It got deeper from there, and, well, that’s when the pair wondered how an old friend is doing.

“I wonder how Carlin’s cameo is doing,” Gio wondered, to which Jerry shot back: “Is there a way you can check the rankings on who is the No. 1 Cameo guy?”

Could it be Gregg Gianotti?

“I think you’d do very well with that – a lot of it would be the impersonations, but I really think you’d get a lot of them, and I really think it could be like a part-time job for you,” Jerry said.

“A lot of people have asked me to leave Mike Francesa or Joe Benigno voicemails on their phones,” Gio said, “so maybe, but it would happen like quickly – the first week or two people would ask, and then it would dry up. But what number would be satisfactory to join? How much money would I need to bring in to make this worthwhile?”

“10 grand,” Jerry shot back, but Gio wasn’t sure that even at $25 a pop, he could get 400 people to sign up to make that total. Still, a quick text to Gio’s buddy, Barstool Sports’ KFC, revealed that “if you’re diligent about it, that total (attached to Boomer) is feasible.”

So we ask you once again: should Gio join Cameo?
