Evan Roberts, noted long-suffering Nets fan, was not a happy camper when Brooklyn brought in James Harden in a blockbuster trade.
Well, Nets general manager Sean Marks is here, and he's ready to hear an apology.
OK, not exactly, but Gio channelled his inner Marks and broke out another one of his legendary impersonations in Thursday's Moment of the Day.
While discussing Harden's heroics in another Nets win on Wednesday night, Boomer & Gio decided it was time for Marks to have his retaliation on Evan.
"What do you think now little boy?" Gio said as Marks. "You had a problem with this James Harden trade when I made it? You said 'dribble dribble dribble, fat fat fat,' now look at him. He's the best player in basketball, he's making you happy. So I'd like an apology, little guy."
Boomer tried to help pump the brakes on the bragging, but Harden has been playing too well for this version of Marks to have any humble pie.
"He had 40 points last night, I don't know if you caught it there Boomer," Gio/Marks said. "He had a 40-point triple-double, he's the best player in the league, and all of you can suck it."
Jerry Recco at his words as well, saying how much better Harden has been than he initially thought he would be with the Nets, but even for those who were praising him, Gio/Marks was taking no prisoners.
"You too there, Jerry," Gio/Marks said. "You've got your head in the governor's ass. Why don't you take it out of there for a little bit and see what's going on with James Harden?"
Too bad Evan wasn't present to be fed his own words.
