Steve Somers had to cough during his overnight shift in the wee hours, and that led to a Schmooze rant on the "frog in the throat" line – and, of course, led to Gio doing Schmooze for Moment of the Day!
"I heard this whole conversation while I was driving in," Gio said before launching into Somers: "So I had the frog in the throat, what is it? But how does a frog get in the throat? Do you believe that a frog could leap off a lily pad and you wouldn't be able to close your mouth in time? It's just ridiculous! And if a frog was in a throat, it would sound like 'ribbit ribbit ribbit' and not 'hock-ptoo.'"
Gio later said he had to pinch himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming while listening on his drive in…but poor Jerry saw it live.
"I was in the studio listening and was like what the hell happened here?" Jerry laughed. "Two minutes and 40 seconds!"
