CNBC’s Guy Adami learned the hard way that The Morning Show may not always be for the wife’s ears in Thursday’s Moment of the Day.
Adami, a frequent caller in to Boomer & Gio, decided to put the guys on the radio on his drive this morning, with his wife in the passenger’s seat. That turned out to be a mistake, as he turned the show on just as the group was talking about a new candle by actress Gwyneth Paltrow, which famously is designed to smell like her “private area,” as Jerry Recco so gently put it.
“I took my son to the trainer and my wife Linda said ‘I’d love to take a ride with you this morning,’” Adami said when he called in. “I said ‘great, you can listen to the guys on WFAN, The Morning Show.’ Literally the first word she hears is the V word, which I don’t even say.”
You never know what you’re getting into when you turn on The Morning Show, but it definitely got Adami into some hot water.
“She looks at me, she says ‘let me out of the car,’” Adami said.
