Artie from Brooklyn called in and accused Joe Benigno of stiffing him on the golf course – and so, we finally got the epic conclusion, with Joe's permission to Gio to tell it, of the story of Joe smuggling some contraband out to LA when Gregg was producing the midday show.
"Guy comes up and says, 'excuse me, we need you over here.' Evan and I had already made it through, and they asked if we were with him," Gio said, including in his Chernoff impression as he wondered what would happen if they all got busted.
So Gio looks over, and a German Shepherd is sniffing Joe up and down.
"I'm surprised he didn't pass out!" Boomer laughed, as Gio continued the story, which ends with a twist: they let Joe go.
"Bro, I never bring it back with me, whaddaya crazy?" Gio said in Joe's accent. "Oh I shoulda toldja that, you guys were probably pretty worried! I always smoke it wherever I go, I never bring it back!"
Hopefully, the next time, Joe made a contact…
