Mark your calendars for April 7: the day Al Dukes returns to the WFAN Studios!
Yes, after more than a year at home with Whimsy in Bradley Beach, Al will be coming back to 345 Hudson, thanks to THE Eddie Scozzare getting his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this week. Six weeks from now, Eddie will be fully vaccinated and (hopefully) immune, and he and Al can share the control room in the Built Ford Tough Boomer & Gio Studio again.
And Al is…not happy about it, nor he is taking ANY precautions, as noted in Wednesday's Moment of the Day.
Al, having been in the safety of his own home for almost exactly a year now, hasn't had to stay on top washing his hands or wearing a mask, but when Eddie called him on Tuesday, Al's heart sank with the knowledge that it was almost time to step back outside.
"I knew it yesterday when the phone rang and it was Eddie," Al said. "I was like 'This can't be good. He probably got vaccinated.'"
Indeed, that was the news, and it won't be long before Al is back in the studio. If you're excited, Al doesn't share your jubilation.
"I had to pretend to be happy," Al said. "I was like 'Oh, that is awesome.'"
