Things got flat-out weird in Wednesday's Moment of the Day, even for Boomer and Gio standards.
Talking about the Yankees' 7-1 win over the Rangers the night before, the crew brought up Giancarlo Stanton's missile home run to left field, which came off the bat at 118 mph.
That prompted a troubling audio clip from the guys behind the glass.
"Stanton, you can sit on my face," the sound bite said.
Somehow, Boomer managed to make it even weirder.
"Tell you what, in about three hours, you're not gonna want me sitting on your face," Boomer said. "I got cannolis, I got bacon and egg sandwiches in here, it's unbelievable."
Gio responded with what everyone was thinking at the time.
"I don't think I want you ever sitting on my face," Gio said.
Jerry Recco was equally appalled.
"I think that's the most disgusting thing you've said in 12 years," Jerry said.
The crew tried to get back on track by moving on to a clip of Aaron Judge's postgame press conference, but Gio instead mocked a fake response from Bruce Beck in the Zoom room.
"Aaron, can you sit on my face?" Gio said.
