Sal and Jerry were in for Boomer & Gio on Tuesday, and when the conversation turned to music, well…Jerry may be a bit of a metal head, but he also enjoys the classics. Not the same for Sal, who had never heard of '70s rockers America, owners of such hits as "Horse with No Name," "Sister Golden Hair," and "Ventura Highway."
"What a weird name for a band," Sal quipped. "R.E.M. I've heard of, but some of these bands you guys are throwing out there, I'm lost!"
That's when Jerry mentioned Jay and the Americans and Presidents of the United States of America as other bands using our nation's colloquial name in their name, and at least Sal kinda knew that one.
"Lump, lump, in my head! Lalalalala," Sal recited, bringing the crowd to its heckling feet.
"I'll take mumbled lyrics for $500 please," Eddie chimed in, and C-Lo brought the dagger: "You must be great at karaoke bars!"
While we prep Sal to get through "It's the End of the World As We Know It" on karaoke since he's such an R.E.M. guy, check out today's Moment of the Day brought to you by Casamigos Tequila below, and check out more on-demand audio from WFAN's morning show!
