Boomer & Jerry remember the best brawls in baseball history

The Guardians and White Sox provided one of the most memorable brawls in baseball history on Saturday night, highlighted by Tim Anderson and Jose Ramirez squaring up and throwing punches behind second base, capped off by Ramirez dropping Anderson with a right hook to the face.

The brawl got Jerry thinking of the best scrums in baseball history, with Boomer chiming in with some of his picks. Here is the list they came up with as the best they had ever seen:

-Ray Knight and Eric Davis, Cincinnati, 1986.

-Pete Rose and Bud Harrelson, 1973 NLCS.

-Rougned Odor and Jose Bautista, when Odor connected on a punch to Bautista's face.

-Nolan Ryan and Robin Ventura, when an ageless Ryan pounded jabs to Ventura's head after getting him in a headlock.

-Pedro Martinez and Don Zimmer in the 2003 ALCS, though Boomer added, "That was embarrassing."

-A-Rod and Varitek, when the Yankees and Red Sox went at it again less than a year after the '03 ALCS.

-Yankees Orioles in 1998, after Armando Benitez hit Tino Martinez in the back with a fastball.

-Yordano Ventura and Manny Machado in 2016, when Ventura threw up and in to Machado twice, then plunked him his next time up.
