Boomer and Gio are wondering if NFL Films, which has microphones all over the sidelines to document the Super Bowl, will release the viral Travis Kelce blowup on Andy Reid in the first half of Sunday’s win over the 49ers.
Gio believes the league will keep that under wraps to protect the Chiefs tight end and head coach, who seemed to be caught off guard when Kelce screamed in his face and bumped him after a Kansas City turnover.
“NFL Films records every single sound on the sideline, but will they protect Travis Kelce and Andy Reid in this situation and not release that audio? Or will it be out there?” Gio said. “I don’t think they’re gonna play that.”
Boomer disagrees, and says the tirade will be heard on the documentary of Super Bowl XLVIII.
“I think Travis Kelce knows he was miced, and he’s always intense,” Boomer said. “I think you gotta play it. Let us hear what the hell he said.”
