BT and Sal agree that Sunday's New York battle between the Jets and Giants is as big as it gets for both teams.
"As far as a week that means as much for both teams, tell me the week we've had as big as this, dating back years," Sal said. "It's not just Jets versus Giants. Their seasons are in the balance."
Sure, neither team is above .500, but the Jets could put themselves right in the thick of the AFC East race with a win, and the Giants would salvage their season with a win, whereas a loss could shift the organization's thinking toward potentially selling at the trade deadline.
Simply put, there will be an awful lot on the line during Sunday's rivalry clash.
"This is not hyperbole," BT said. "This is the absolute Giants season, no doubt. If they lose, they're done. And the Jets don't have much wiggle room.
If they lose, and don't rip off at least two or three in a row, they're probably going to be out of it as well."
