Scottie in Hamilton called in to ask BT if he wanted to “retract” his prediction that the Jets would crush the Giants when the two teams play on Oct. 29, now that Aaron Rodgers is done for the year.
“Retract these,” BT responded.
An entertaining argument ensued about the Giants and Jets, and BT wasn’t backing down on his belief that Gang Green still has the better team, regardless of how tired Scottie was of hearing about the Jets.
“How about this: I will retract the word ‘smoke’ and replace it with the word ‘beat,’” BT said. “You guys suck. What are you talking about Scott? Worry about the Cardinals before you worry about the Jets.
“The last two teams you’ve played, which both happened to reside in your division, they have outscored you 78-7. Both games on national TV. Why don’t you score a point, dude, before you call me up and talk smack?”
BT understands the expectations have changed for the Jets, but any trash talk coming from a Giant fan after a 40-0 beatdown in their season opener is comical.
“I understand life is all about power. You have zero right now,” BT said. “You didn’t score a single point on national TV against a team that owns you. Get back in your hole and come back out when you score a touchdown.”
