C-Mac: Are Chiefs/Bills NFL's version of Yankees/Astros?

Once again, the Bills couldn’t find a way to solve the Chiefs in the playoffs, losing after a missed field goal in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter in the divisional round on Sunday night.

At this point, have Kansas City become to the Bills what the Astros have been to the Yankees since 2015?

“It’s poetic. That 13-second game they lost two years ago was obviously a kick in the stomach,” C-Mac said. “You had Kansas City beat…but it still felt like that Buffalo can play with Kansas City. That established that.

“This loss makes me feel like that is no longer a thing. If you couldn’t win this game, when the hell are you going to beat them?”

The Chiefs have now beaten Buffalo three times in the playoffs since 2021, most notably stunning them in the “13 Second Game” in 2022. It feels eerily familiar to the Yankees and Astros, as Houston has bounced New York from the MLB playoffs, in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022.

“Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills cannot beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs,” C-Mac said. “I’ll never trust them to be able to beat that team again…if they can’t do it in this scenario, I can’t imagine them doing it in any scenario.”
