A caller ripped C-Mac for his consistent criticism of Zach Wilson and Daniel Jones, but C-Mac couldn't understand the endless excuses for Jones' rough start to the season, or the sudden discarding of years of evidence that Wilson is not a capable NFL quarterback.
"It's one performance. It's one game," C-Mac said of Wilson's surprisingly solid performance against the Chiefs in Week 4. "He played well.
He lost the game, didn't he?
"Zach Wilson sucks! I don't know what to tell you. He had a very nice game. I hope I'm wrong, but Zach Wilson has shown you one thing over the course of his career: he's not very good, and Daniel Jones isn't very good."
Many New York fans aren't ready to give up on both Wilson and Jones taking a next step, but C-Mac has reached that acceptance already. Despite Jones' solid year last season, and Wilson's breakout game on Sunday, C-Mac believes both quarterbacks have already shown who they really are.
"You pick the one week Zach Wilson played well. You didn't call me after the Patriot game," C-Mac said. "I don't know anything about sports because I don't think Zach Wilson is very good. You're a clown. I don't even think Daniel Jones is that good. It was one playoff game…he stinks right now.
"How about him helping the offensive line when it's struggling? Maybe your quarterback and best player should step up and realize he needs to see the blitz coming. Maybe the quarterback should hold the ball closer to his body and not fumble it…half of those sacks are on him."
