C-Mac hopes Giants, Jets fans enjoyed meaningless wins in season finales

C-Mac advocated for the Giants and Jets losing their season finales on Sunday, and after both won, he warned fans that the excitement wears off very fast before the reality of their worsened draft positioning and miserable seasons overall creep back in.

"I was having fun, I have to admit," C-Mac said watching the Giants throttle the hated Eagles. "I would have rather have lost that game and been the fifth pick over the sixth pick, but I'm having fun. All my fun as a Giant fan ended in the third quarter. I'm immediately on to the next year.

"The Eagles fan, regardless of how terrible they're playing…their fanbase went on to the playoffs, and the Giants fan went on to Miami/Buffalo."

Sure, it was fun to beat up on division rivals, and for the Jets to beat Bill Belichick and finally end their miserable losing streak against the Patriots, but it doesn't come close to easing the blow of one of the most disappointing New York football seasons in recent memory, which is saying something.

"Both of these teams, coming off miserable, dead seasons again…the Jets had another 10-loss season," C-Mac said. "The New York Giants had another dead season…never had a chance this year. If you think winning this game against Philadelphia, as they go on to the playoffs, if you think that makes me feel better…it's about next year. It's been about next year for weeks."
