Chris McMonigle didn't hold back opening his show on Monday morning, reacting to the slop that was the Jets' overtime win over the Giants on Sunday afternoon.
"What a disgrace. What a horrible football game," C-Mac said. "We spent all week going over and over that miserable football game? We actually did that? We actually did that all week long, to talk about these two miserable football teams?"
For Big Blue, blowing a three-point lead after missing a field goal with less than a minute to go is as painful as it gets, but on the bright side, C-Mac says fans can tune out the rest of the way and spare themselves the headache, because the season is officially done.
"The Giants gave you the chef's kiss at the end of this game…the Giants are dead at 2-6," C-Mac said. "They are dead. I don't care what the schedule looks like. They are dead, and you sell everyone, because this thing is an out-and-out joke.
"This offense is atrocious. This game was just so ugly and atrocious."
The outlook for the Jets is not much better in C-Mac's eyes, not after watching the offense fail to do much of anything with Zach Wilson, barely getting by Tommy DeVito and the Giants while doing their best to blow the game themselves with several costly penalties.
"The Giants' best offense was penalties from the Jets…neutral zone infractions on punts out of the end zone. Are you kidding me?" C-Mac said. "Both of these teams - if you watched that football game, I don't trust either of these teams."
