C-Mac: 'We've gone crazy' as Yankees, Mets fans going to extremes during long season
The Mets have won four in a row after sweeping the Pirates on Wednesday, and the Yankees avoided four straight losses by coming back in the ninth to take down the Blue Jays.
C-Mac says the reactions from both fanbases is further proof that Mets and Yankee fans need to be more level headed during the course of a 162-game season.
"We've gone crazy," C-Mac said. "I bought into the different feel of the Yankees. Not that I thought they'd never lose a series. But they sweep the Astros, Juan Soto looks spectacular….then they lose a couple games, the offense is right back to where they were last year, this team sucks, get Gleyber Torres the hell off my team, Judge sucks, he's overrated, what a contract…and this is barely a playoff team if that.
"The Mets are 0-5, they're never gonna win a game…and now everyone loves each other, they're never gonna lose again."
The Yanks started off red hot and then lost three straight, while the Mets opened the season with five straight losses before catching fire on the road. So, when one team rattles off five straight wins or drops five games in a row, C-Mac suggests remembering that it's a long season with many peaks and valleys. "You're never quite as bad as you are when you're losing, and never quite as good as you are when you're winning," C-Mac said. "Right now, the Mets and Yankees are just two good, solid baseball teams."
