Both the Jets and Giants are 1-1 heading into Week 3, with Big Blue taking on the 49ers on Thursday and Gang Green looking to end its long tenure of torment against the Patriots on Sunday.
The Giants’ disastrous first six quarters of the season, coupled with the Jets losing Aaron Rodgers in Week 1, has some fans already down on the football season after coming into the year with so much hype. But C-Mac isn’t ready to give up on the seasons, or their Week 3 games, just yet.
“I’m tired of all the negativity,” C-Mac said. “I don’t have a lot of confidence that the Giants are going to go into San Francisco and beat the 49ers on a short week, but God, can we stop acting like the Giants are the worst team in the NFL?
“I know the Cardinals aren’t the 49ers…but the Cardinals aren’t a high school football team. That’s an NFL team. Is this not the same Giants team that won a playoff game last year?”
As for Gang Green, while the offense doesn’t look great with Zach Wilson leading the way, he wanted to remind fans that New England’s offense isn’t exactly a machine either.
“It goes for the Jets too. I know the quarterback is a disaster right now,” C-Mac said. “I don’t think the kid can play at all, but just because of one bad performance against the Cowboys, now all of a sudden, this defense stinks. You know who they’re going up against? This Patriots offense, and their quarterback isn’t very good either.
“I expect these to be two good, hard-fought football games.”
