Craig Carton compared Aaron Rodgers to the Yankees, and Evan couldn’t help but laugh at how accurate the comparison was.
“He’s a lock typically to be in the postseason,” Craig said. “But he can’t get the job done and close.”
Craig compared Rodgers’ loss to Jimmy Garoppolo in the playoffs to the Yanks falling to the Tigers in the ALDS in 2011, and how Rodgers and the Yanks both are seeking to end a title drought. Evan was all for the comparison.
“Your comparison is so freaking spot on, it’s hilarious,” Evan said. “Yankees win the World Series ’09, Packers win the Super Bowl a year later. The Yankees have been in the playoffs virtually every year…Aaron Rodgers has been in the playoffs every year but hasn’t gone to a Super Bowl. The Yankees haven’t gotten to a World Series, and we’re all resting on the laurels of 2009 and 2010.”
