The New Jersey Devils’ helmets, brought to you by Prudential!

Several major sports leagues, now including the NBA and MLB, have gone to the soccer model of having ads or sponsorships on their jerseys, and this upcoming season, the NHL is adding their helmets to that group as part of a new “helmet entitlement partner” program.

The Devils and Washington Capitals are the first teams to officially announce partnerships for helmet logo advertisements, with both adding logos of their arena title sponsors: Prudential for New Jersey, and Capital One for the Caps.

A look at the new logos for the Devils:

The logos will appear on player helmets through training camp, all practices, and all regular-season and playoff games. The Devils and Caps are the first two teams to do this under the new program, a way for teams to generate some revenue amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and protocols preventing fans from attending games.
