The Devils narrative as road warriors continued in historic fashion on Tuesday night.
Thanks to a dramatic game-winning goal by Ryan Graves with just 1.4 seconds remaining in the third period, New Jersey was able to get past the Blue Jackets for a 3-2 win in Columbus, securing the team's 20th road victory of the season.
The Devils were able to reach that mark in just 26 games, becoming the first team in NHL history to win 20 road games in 26 tries, pushing past the Capitals, who needed 27 games to do it during the 2019-20 and 2015-16 seasons, per NHL PR.
New Jersey is an impressive 20-3-3 on the road this season, and sit in second place in the Metropolitan division with 75 points, three behind the first-place Hurricanes, and five points in front of the rival Rangers, with all three teams having played 53 games to date.
The Devils have two more on the road this week, visiting the Blues and Penguins, before returning home Sunday night against the Jets.
