Devils' next three games, versus Rangers and Penguins, postponed due to COVID concerns

The New Jersey Devils' next three games - Tuesday and Thursday versus the Penguins and Saturday versus the Rangers - have been postponed due to COVID issues in the Devils' organization.

The Devils, who are in Pittsburgh, will remain there indefinitely as they deal with now 10 players listed on the COVID-19 list - a group that includes goalies Mackenzie Blackwood and Aaron Dell, forwards Andreas Johnsson, Janne Kuokkanen, Michael McLeod, Kyle Palmieri, Pavel Zacha and Travis Zajac, and defensemen Sami Vatanen and Connor Carrick.

The team's practice facility has also been closed per NHL protocols until further notice, and their next game is now scheduled for next Tuesday (Feb. 9) against Pittsburgh at Prudential Center.

The Rangers also have one hile the health and safety for everyone within the Devils' organization is top priority, it will give the Penguins some much needed rest with a battered and bruised defense. Extra practice time also is a rarity this year and with the changes to the back-lines, this could come at a perfect time.
