Gio was frustrated with Boomer gassing up the Knicks on Wednesday after their win over the Jazz, noting much more pressing issues in New York sports like the Yankees bringing back Anthony Rizzo, the Aaron Judge sweepstakes, and two football teams in the city fighting for division titles.
So, naturally, Boomer shifted to the red-hot Devils, who won their 10th straight game on Tuesday night.
"We know that's a joke," Gio said. "You're not really gonna sit here and talk about the Devils…you're not interested in the Yankees and Anthony Rizzo right now?"
Boomer, despite his Rangers allegiance, had to give props to the hottest team in hockey.
"They actually deserve a lot of credit for them winning 10 games in a row," Boomer said.
