After Monday night's debacle in the finish of the Knicks/Pistons game, Evan posed the question to Tiki: Which of the four major sports has the worst officiating?
Tiki wasted no time in making his pick.
"I'm not biased because I play this sport, but it's the NFL," Tiki said. "With multiple bad officiating calls in a game, it can destroy your season.
"If an official screws a game up, like last night for the Pistons…one loss could screw you in football. In basketball, it's 'Eh, we got 20 more [games].' In the NFL, it is punitive."
According to Evan's poll on X (formerly known as Twitter), the masses agreed with Tiki. But Evan sided with the sport that got the second most votes.
"I agree, it's not close, except it's not the NFL. It's the NBA, dude," Evan said, noting that most calls in football can at least be challenged or reviewed. "There was no recourse to fixing what happened last night. More times than not, when the officials screw up in the NBA, you don't have a challenge to fix it.
"More times than not in the NBA, you've got the officials impacting the game in a far greater way than they even do the NFL."
