Many fans were stunned at the Lions collapse on Sunday night, but Evan saw it as a predictable fallout for a franchise that always seems to lose.
Evan should know, given where his fandom lies.
“Losers will lose,” Evan said. “And last night, in front of America, we saw out country’s biggest loser remind us just who in the hell they are. They are losers. Just like the Jets are losers, just like the Knicks and Nets are losers, just like the Mets are losers.”
So, Evan isn’t trolling the Lions or their fans after collapsing in the second half against the 49ers, but he is simply expressing his lack of surprise after living it himself over the course of decades.
“I say that with compassion. I don’t say it to be a douche,” Evan said. “I feel them because I am them. We are them. But last night, in front of millions of people, just understand we all saw our future. Losers lose.
“Losers put themselves in position to lose.”
