How Giants, Jets could hold four straight top-10 picks in 2022 NFL Draft

The Giants still have a faint chance at making the postseason, but for the most part, the state of New York football once again will be moving its focus towards the draft, as both Big Blue and the Jets continue their rebuild.

Gang Green sits at 3-8, while the Giants hold a 4-7 record after beating the Eagles in their first game since firing offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. Even while being just one game of the final playoff spot in the NFC, Big Blue currently holds the sixth and seventh picks in next year's NFL Draft.

Meanwhile, the Jets hold the fourth and fifth picks, meaning if the season ended today, four straight picks would be made by New York teams come next year.

The Jets hold the fourth overall pick thanks to the Seahawks, who included the pick in the trade for Jamal Adams. Then, the Jets hold their own pick at No. 5, with both New York and Seattle sitting at 3-8 on the season following the Seahawks' loss to Washington on Monday night.

The Giants have their sixth overall pick while also currently holding the seventh overall pick from the Bears, acquired in the 2021 Draft after Dave Gettleman traded back for the first time as a general manager, grabbing the 20th overall pick and three other picks, including the first-round pick in 2022, in exchange for the 11th overall pick, which Chicago used to draft Justin Fields.

Plenty can still happen over the next six weeks, but as it stands now, all eyes would be on East Rutherford in the back half of the top-10 picks of the upcoming draft.
